Some old layouts, newly published.

Just a short post, with a wee bit of blowing my own trumpet. It's not been a bad month for getting old projects published around the place, be that online or in mags, so here's a bit of a roundup.

First stop, the Micro Model Railway Despatch. This is a fun online mag, free to view, and the spiritual successor to the much-missed Carl Ardent's Small Layout Scrapbook.

After the editor put out a call for layouts for the Christmas edition, I sent a re-wrote, tweaked version of my Damems piece from a couple of years ago. Still have this layout, knocking around the workshop, really need to finish it off at some point.

Here's a good one, but an oldy. Some 5-ish years after I completed the model, my Ivor the Engine clockwork layout has seen the light of day in print!

Lovely to see this finally turn up (it's been online a few times, but this is the first time in a mag), and it's in the first Peco Railway Modeller Annual produced since Plague Times. Appropriate, as the Ivor layout was a Lockdown project.

Finally, a Hornby piece, but which extensively uses some old layouts as settings for some new pics. More on this in a separate post coming up.

It's been interesting to get so many old projects printed, but there has been rather a lot of 'new builds; going on too. Hopefully not too long until they get featured in print so I can feature them somewhere hereabouts...
